Using satellite-assisted timing equipment, the FG Falcon XR6 Turbo was timed accelerating from 0 - 100km/h in just 5.1 seconds and ran the benchmark quarter mile (or 400-metre sprint) in 13.4 seconds. For the sake of accuracy, several times were recorded and the new XR6 was able to nail a very low 5 second sprint every single time - with the air-conditioning ON!
2008 Ford Falcon
The count-down to the all-new Ford Falcon has well and truly started with the blue oval marque releasing a series of camouflaged pictures ahead of its official May 2008 launch.
Ford are also scheduled to reveal engineering details of the new Falcon before its launch in February 2008. The sedan will be the first model off the production line followed by the wagon, ute and high performance variants in late June.
